Hi! I've been AWOL for some time now and in hopes of getting back to my blog (and taking my mind off the not commencing labor), I thought I would post an update about life.
I'm 39 weeks pregnant as of today. I wish I wasn't pregnant at all anymore. We have thought for a week that I wouldn't make it to my appointment tomorrow morning, but it looks like I will. I've been sick for over a month...first with Strep Throat, then a viral infection and now...I'm not really sure what it is. All I know is that I'm huge, uncomfortable, and sick and I am wasting hours a week on timing contractions that don't seem to progress.
The girls are good. AJ knows the baby is coming any day and she's trying to be helpful as long as it doesn't interfere with snack time or her playing babies with Kayla. Speaking of Kayla, she has just seen the baby's infant car seat as a new toy and tries to put herself in it.
I'm starting to realize I am scared to have three children. With two, there's one adult for each, but I wonder what happens when the children outnumber the adults in the household. I never had that problem growing up, I was an only child. I thank god that AJ is old enough to open doors herself and buckle into the car. I am pretty sure I am gonna need her help very much, very soon.
As for Chris, he worries he'll be sleeping in the shed once all the estrogen fills the house. Poor guy, it's just him and Buddy (our beagle)

UPK Graduate
"I"m a UPK Graduate", that's the words my daughter sang at her graduation from pre-kindergarden last Friday. It was so cute to see all these little people getting their certificates and singing songs about getting "so big" and "abc's". I really felt like a goofball when I was crying my eyes out watching my little girl graduate and yet, we'll go through it all again next year when she graduates from kindergarden. For those who don't know yet, AJ was accepted into Global Concepts Charter School and will start her academic career there next year. She will have violin, spanish and computer class every week, as well as gym and library time. She's so excited, yet bummed because she'll be leaving all the friends she made in pre-k, one of which being her partner in crime Hailey. I guess we'll just have to keep the playdates going to ensure AJ keeps such a good friend.

Home Sweet Home
So, as some know, Chris and I have been house hunting on and off for over a year now. We had some disappointments but we've been patient and it finally is paying off. On the 13t we put an offer in on a 1700 sq. ft. house with almost 2 acres and tons of potential. The owner countered with a reasonable amount, so we took it. Our inspection was last week and it went very well. Only a list of 5 things, most minor fixes, like a GFI in the kitchen and a electrical box to cover a spliced wire in the basement. Finally, yesterday we met with the mortgage broker and Chris did the paperwork. Now we just wait for our letter from them letting us know the official acceptance and terms of our mortgage. I am so excited that we finally found our house. It comes at a good time too, since as things are set, we should close August 13th and be well settled in before baby #3 arrive at the end of this year.

A New Venture
I started back up with Mary Kay as a consultant. I had started my business back in 2003 or 2004 and then took some time off between then and now. I want to do something fun and have a chance to have a career and still stay home with the girls. What I've noticed so far is that everyone I know is either completely supportive or though they don't say it, they think it's a joke. I'm not really sure how Mary Kay gets a bad rap with people unless they met a pushy consultant. I love their products. I trust what they put in them, and I know they work. Not to mention the cost is reasonable compared to what you can buy at the mall. They are one of the only direct sales companies I know that really promote honesty within the company and refuse to steal another consultants clients. As far as for what opportunities they give women, I think it's amazing. They are rated one of the top 10 companies to work for and they have more millionaires than any other company.
I guess I'm ranting here but I really think this company is a great opportunity and a great product and I don't think enough people really know about it. On that note, if anyone knows anyone interested in Mary Kay, to buy or sell, I'd love to know. My website is www.marykay.com/racheljmancini.

she's a growing up
Today AJ came home from school crying. Daddy carried her in and she proceeded to tell us how her and her best friend broke up. Hailey ( the best friend) had gotten upset at Adrianna for laughing at her and called off their friendship. I cried. How do you deal with these things. The first time you're daughter has a friend spat? Is she really that grown up? I couldn't let my mind wrap around this idea that she's growing up so much.

House Hunt No More...
So, not long after my last blog about the troubles of house hunting have we found the ONE! Our offer was accepted yesterday on a huge old home in North Buffalo near Delaware Park. The neighborhood is amazing! We are about 1-2 blocks from a Frank Lloyd Wright home that is AMAZING, about 3-4 blocks from the zoo and we're having Adrianna interviewed for the Frederick Law Olmstead school. I can't believe this, I am so excited and sublimely happy.
I hope that our families are as happy as we are about this. I can't quite tell yet. I think they are worried for us, and my folks are probably sad that they won't have the grandkids right upstairs anymore. I just hope they see how happy we are about it and support us. It's important to me that they do support our big decisions.
YEAH!!!! Now we just have to work on how we're gonna move!
